Oktoberfest at Bembridge Harbour

Oktoberfest at Bembridge Harbour

2018's Oktoberfest is on Saturday 22nd September at the Duver Marina.  In support of The Sophie Rolf Trust - KissyPuppy

Last year was the first running of Oktoberfest, and this year promises to be bigger and better, with 2 great bands, more lighting and more heaters (last year it did get a bit nippy!).

The event takes inspiration from the tradition of German beer festivals (another tradition is to hold Oktoberfest in September!) but with a distinctly Island flavour and featuring locally produced and sourced food, beers and ales (cash only bar).  There'll be live music from 5.30pm starting with the Jukebox Jazz Trio, performing upbeat covers of Old Time Jazz and Skiffle tunes by way of banjos, cornet, tubas, trombones, and anything else they can get their hands on!

All Washed Up (pictured) will follow - an eclectic mix of banjo, mandolin, ukulele, guitar, bass, harmonica, washboard and tea chest bass, influenced by blues, bluegrass and skiffle - it's guaranteed to be a noisy, lively evening of fun!  Music will finish at about 10.15pm.

Tickets: adults £6, under 15s £3 and under 5s free.  Tickets available online.

Oktoberfest co-incides with the Bembridge Harbour Food Festival weekend and Isle of Wight Day.
