An event for Gigs, Galleys and all types of traditional fixed seat rowing boats - organised by Bembridge Harbour Authority and Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club 

What a great weekend!  Thank you so much to the clubs who attended this year's Bembridge Gig Fest event, to event co-organisers Yarmouth Gig Rowing Club, and to Brading Haven Yacht Club who provided great on-the-water support.

9 gigs from 6 clubs raced over Saturday 8th and Sunday 9th June off Bembridge.  There were 2km straight line sprints on Saturday, and head-style timed racing round St Helens Fort on Sunday for Mixed, Ladies and Open classes.  It was sunny at times, breezy at times, and great fun and competition all of the time - Great Coastal Conditions!   

Everyone gathered on Saturday evening at the Duver Marina, where the Duver Cafe cooked up fresh pizzas and had the BBQ lit, Steve's Bar quenched thirsts, and fabulous Island band All Washed Up treated us to their fabulous brand of up-beat skiffle, blues and swing.
