Here's a report of the 2025 Event to give you a flavour:

What a fantastic weekend for the 2025 Bembridge Gig Fest!  It was challenging conditions, with winds gusting up to Force 5 on Saturday, and slightly less on Sunday.  The wind was blowing straight against the rowers, who had to contend with both the gusts and the swirling tide, which combined into very choppy head seas. The challenge produced some of the fastest times recorded so far at this annual event, which began in 2022.

Yarmouth Gig Rowing Clubs two Cornish Pilot Gigs were joined boats  from Eastney Cruising Association, Langstone Pilot Gig Club, Brading Haven Gig Rowers, and crew members from Affinity Rowing Club in Newhaven.
