What's your Favourite Read?! And we mean, anything … whatever you read and however you read it, our Family Fun Weekend is celebrating the
National Year of Reading 2026!!
It could be a comic, your favourite recipe, sci-fi, news about the sports team you support (or the World Cup maybe?), music or lyrics, a poem you like, weather reports, Facebook posts, maps, newspapers, instruction manuals, crosswords or puzzles, a card or a letter from a friend, bedtime stories, a book character that you love or that inspires you ... Reading is part of all our lives every day!
Wherever your imagination takes you, we hope you’ll enjoy thinking up some great ideas for boat decorating and fancy dress at the Family Fun Weekend … The more colourful and quiry the better, or, if you're short of time, flying some flags or lighting up with fairy lights would be wonderful!
