Charity Fun Runs in support of the Sophie Rolf Trust and West Wight Sports and Community Centre - part of the Isle of Wight Running Festival
The Duver Dash was last held in 2022. There were over 150 runners on the St Helens Duver - 106 completing the scenic 5km route taking in the Duver, St Helens Beach, Nodes Point Holiday Park (the hilly bit!) and footpaths and fields before heading down into St Helens Village and back towards the Harbour, across the Mill Wall and back onto the Duver to the finish.
The Junior event was a 1km course on the Duver itself with a 2nd lap option - runners ranged in age from 5 to 14 and everything in-between. There were some very determined youngsters going for gold, and a number of families with Mum, Dad, and children all taking part in the event over the 2 runs!
The
Duver Dash was part of the Isle of Wight Festival of Running, organised by the West Wight Sports & Community Centre, raising funds for the Harbour’s nominated charity, the Sophie Rolf Trust - KissyPuppy. and the West Wight Sports & Community Centre Trust.
We're sorry that there won't be a Duver Dash in 2023, but we hope the event will return in 2024 - watch this space ...
