Shoreside Facilities at Bembridge Harbour
New Facilities and Admin building at the Duver Marina
Our new building is now in use and as well shower/toilet/ disabled facilitities, is where the Berthing Team, Reception/Galley Locker and Admin Office can be found. Currently it is open to customers only during our opening hours: 09:00-16:00 Monday to Friday. Outside opening hours, the previous shower/toilet facilities remain in use and are accessible by number code (provided to visiting boats booked online, along with the WiFi code). There are a few finishing touches awaited on the building and once these are done, we will be able to make it accessible to booked customers 24/7.
Free WiFi is available to Harbour visitors
Please obtain the code from the Berthing/Harbour Office on arrival.
Galley Locker
The "Galley Locker" in the Berthing Office stocks essentials such as milk, tea, coffee, ice, soft drinks etc, and a selection of Isle of Wight produce, including a range of Island produced beer, ales and spirits (the Island is the home of Mermaid Gin!) - all of which have passed a staff taste test ...(Challenge 25 is in force).
Dogs
Well behaved dogs, with responsible owners, are very welcome on Harbour property, but they must be kept on leads please - in all areas but especially on the pontoons. PLEASE DO NOT take them into the shower/toilet facilities (there are hooks just outside to park them on). There's a dog "wash-down" area at the rear of the black building for muddy paws.
There are fabulous walks all round the area just waiting to be explored and enjoyed. The nearest dog waste bin is situated on St Helens Duver, just outside the Duver Marina entrance gates.
Outside Seating Area, Marquee and BBQs
There is a covered seating area near the Duver Cafe and Steve's Bar for use by customers and visitors. The Harbour Marquee and BBQ units are available for hire separately or in various packages - please apply to the Berthing Office for details 01983 872828 or mail@bembridgeharbour.co.uk.
Disposable BBQs are not permitted anywhere on Harbour property.
Waste Removal
There are waste bins for general domestic waste available at all shoreside facilities, as well as separate Dry Mixed Recycling (DMR) for plastic, paper, tin etc, and glass bins to ensure as much waste as possible is recycled. All recyling put in the DMR bins must clean and free of any food contamination. If you have food packing / platic containers please take them away with you to wash before recycling.
If you have any comment, query or complaint, please contact the Harbour Office (The Duver, St Helens, Isle of Wight PO33 1YB. Email: office@bembridgeharbour.co.uk)
In order to reduce marine pollution, and as per SI 1809 of the Merchant Shipping and Fishing Vessels (Port Waste Reception Facilities) Regulations, all waste is to be disposed of in the correct waste bins provided on site before heading to sea. General waste disposal costs are incorporated within berthing/mooring fees. If you have any specific waste removal requirements please contact the Harbour Office (tel: 01983 872828 office@bembridgeharbour.co.uk) for further information.
The BHA Port Waste Management Plan is available on request from the main Harbour Office.
String Bag Campaign
Our String Bag Campaign is aimed at helping you to help us keep our local environment as plastic free as possible. The Galley Locker has a supply of string bags that you can borrow if you are going for a walk. Simply collect any discarded or washed-up plastic, especially from beach areas, and bring it back to be put in the recycling bins. NOTE: please be careful and look out for broken glass or anything sharp, and don't pick up anything that looks too nasty! Also please don't forget to return the String Bag to the Galley Locker ready for some more collecting ...
Laundry
A laundry facility will soon be available in the new facilities/admin building at the Duver Marina.
